My preferred application of Customer Support would include:
A FAQ/Knowledge Base for problem solving that includes input from actual Support Personnel and Personal Service Customers respond better to direct intervention in some situation, but in my experience, a knowlege base built by those that give personal service is more useful than one built by by project managers.
